Built to be usable, and honest about the gaps.

What we have done and verified

These are not aspirations. Each was measured on the built site rather than assumed:

• Text and interface colours were audited against the WCAG AA contrast thresholds across every page. Thirteen combinations failed the first pass at 3.7–4.1:1 and were corrected; all pass now.
• Interactive controls meet the 44 by 44 pixel minimum touch target on small screens.
• A skip link is the first thing in the tab order, so keyboard users can jump past the navigation.
• Menus and accordions are real buttons carrying aria-expanded and aria-controls, and work from the keyboard.
• Every meaningful image has descriptive alt text; decorative elements are hidden from assistive technology.
• Diagrams are marked up as figures with captions, so the explanation is in text rather than only in the picture.
• The page language is declared as Australian English, and headings run in a logical order.
• If your system is set to reduce motion, the animations and smooth scrolling switch off.
• Line length is capped so no paragraph runs past a comfortable reading measure.

What we have not done

This site has not been independently audited, and we have not tested it end to end with screen readers or other assistive technology on real hardware. Automated and manual checks catch a lot, but they are not the same thing as someone using the site with the tools they rely on every day.

Some of our product screenshots carry detail that is described in the surrounding text and alt text rather than being readable within the image itself.

We would rather say this plainly than claim a conformance level we have not earned.

We treat accessibility problems as bugs, not feature requests, and we will come back to you with either a fix or a straight answer about when it will be fixed.

Why we care about this

We build systems that people have to use to do their jobs and run their clubs — often volunteers, often on a phone, often in a hurry. A system that only works for some of them is not finished. The same standard applies to our own site.
